CloserStill Makes Third Acquisition of 2017 with Purchase of Online Educa Berlin
Since buying Bizmedia in 2014, the CloserStill appetite for acquisition has grown steadily which has allowed them to expand their product brand in the eLearning market, with the recent purchase of Online Educa Berlin adding not only the OEB Conference, but also allowing the launch of Learning Technologies Germany.

Survey - Flash in the Pan
Adobe have announced they’ll stop supporting the Flash plug-in by the end of 2020. As a result, your eLearning content that’s built around this plugin will essentially be, obsolete.

Moodle Receives $6m Investment
Founded in 2001, Moodle has relied on partners (there’s currently 84 of them) to generate funds for the central project by paying royalties, but Martin Dougiamas, founder and CEO of Moodle Pty Ltd, have now succumbed to an outside investor, with France based Education for the Many, injecting $6m dollars into the company.

2020 Vision at Learning Technologies Group
Back in 2013, when Indeed Online morphed from being a shell company to an eLearning services company called Learning Technologies Group with the £16.3m purchase of Epic, the Board of LTG targeted a strategy to grow annual revenues to £50mln. With the interim results announced in September, the Board have met their target a year ahead of schedule.

Positive half year trading update from Learning Technologies Group
Prior to announcing interim results on 18th September, LTG have today issued a trading update for the half year period up to the end of June.
Announcing an expectation that revenues will not be less than £20.8 million for the first half of the trading year (an increase of 62.5%), the LTG Board highlighted their confidence in achiving their strategic ambition of building an international business with annualised revenues in excess of £50 million.
